Sylvia is a Wellington based pilates and bellydance instructor with over five years’ teaching experience, and a passion for understanding the histories and intricacies of dance and movement styles. She also dances with Wellington’s International Folk Dance group. Sylvia regularly teaches workshops in American Tribal Style bellydance and dance conditioning around the country. The stretch and flex session will give you a package of techniques to gently cultivate strength and flexibility for optimum health and happiness of your dancing body. We will focus on the core and the lower body. Exercises will draw on pilates, yoga, and traditional strength training. Please bring a yoga mat or towel, and water.
